This is the 2017 master mix of 'Tree House'.
Like Volume#1 and FYH - ’Tree House’ was mostly recorded in my 2 week ‘Uni’ holiday in 2008. I had just started recording songs with Liam Halliwell and Jordan Thompson and we were pumping out songs.
We were set to release what we had recorded in numbered ‘Volumes’ and as the roman numeral on the cover suggests, this would have been volume # 3. Jordan was coming up with a lot of songs ideas so I thought it would be a good idea if we grouped a lot of Jordan’s songs together.
‘Burn a Picture’ and ‘TAB ticket (Gambling)’ were Liams riffs. 'Terrible Soul' and 'Quasar Man' with Mark Rogers. ‘Dragons’ was the first track I ever recorded with Jordan. Surprisingly it was largely improvised. Some of these songs have demos which shows that we were slowing down the recording process and making sure that we had something to be proud of.
