This is the 2021 mix of the classic album: Slippery Slide.
‘The Slippery Slide’ is a collection of humorous songs that were mostly recorded in my 4 week ‘Uni’ holidays in the middle of 2008. Whilst albums like ‘Volume#1’, ‘For Your Home’ and ‘Tree House’ were being made, we were also throwing together songs less serious in nature. This would have been Volume #4. The songs were almost always improvised and we had a lot of laughs making them. We were literally ‘working our fingers to the hand’. There was lots of chips and gravy and day time drinkin’, amongst other things. Nobody’s quite sure what the ‘Blairwaves’ is and a shopping list makes for some inspirational lyrics. The album is simple and without too much thought, and is a testament to the fact that we knew no boundarys (or the difference between a Scottish or Irish accent) when it came to song writing. Move over Circus Olay! Its time for Influenza!
